How to Perform Leg Lift Surgery?

In leg lift surgery, skin abundance and excess adipose tissue are evaluated by examination first.

I recommend that liposuction be performed and started, allowing for a greater amount of stretching as the skin is emptied.

Then, in order to provide leg tightening, the excess skin in the area is stretched upwards, that is, towards the groin.

In this procedure, the scar is not known because it sits in the groin area. In patients with a lot of skin sagging, it would not be right to apply this technique by pulling the genital area outward, causing it to look wide.

In those with a lot of excess skin, the incision made along the long axis of the leg is performed on the inside of the leg from the face. We start this technique with liposuction and take excess adipose tissues.

Then we take the excess skin. Here, the scar remains on the leg-to-leg face, and when you look at it before and behind, you never know.

What are the types of leg lift surgery?

There are two types of leg lift procedures, medial and standard:

– Medial thigh stretching is a surgical procedure that gives a firmer appearance to reduce excess skin and fat in the upper part of the inner thigh.

– It is carried out by removing the skin and oil in the form of a crescent from the upper part of the inner thigh, creating a horizontal scar.

– Standard thigh lift involves removing too much loose skin and oil to tighten the upper leg to reshape; it is usually suitable for those who have excessive sagging as a result of weight loss. The scar in this procedure is oriented both vertically and horizontally.

Non-surgical inner leg Stretching

Non-surgical inner leg stretching is a method that can be applied in patients without skin sagging. It provides some tightening with the energy given under the skin using radio frequency energy.

It works by heating the skin and subcutaneous tissues of the applied electromagnetic radio waves. The aim is to create heat in the tissue without causing any damage to the skin and to activate the regeneration processes.

Thanks to excess heat, our body perceives this applied energy as damage and activates repair activation processes.  However, it should be noted that non-surgical leg stretching is a temporary treatment used in a very limited patient and lasts between 1-2 years.

What should we pay attention to before leg lift surgery?

I recommend that you do not smoke 1 week before surgery,

Blood thinners such as aspirin should be discontinued 1 week in advance.

Consumption of vegetable products such as green tea, flaxseed, cherry stalk, tomato seeds should be stopped 1 week in advance.

Healing Process After Leg Lift Surgery

In the first weeks after surgery, there are some swellings in the leg area and patients do not fully understand their actual bodies at first.

But when these swellings start to decrease, patients will be more and more satisfied with the result. Since the inner part of the leg is a very mobile area, it is open to healing problems.

In any case, patients should rest as much as possible and avoid leg movement. Regular corset use is important for 3 weeks after leg lift aesthetics.

Since liposuction is performed, regular corset use is important both in the sitting of the skin and in the reduction of edema and swelling. From week 1, you can return to your social life. I’m not suggesting a week of sports.

Does liposuction not improve the inside of the leg?

Frequent weight gain, relaxation, sagging, etc. lead to decreased adipose tissue in the legs and loss of skin elasticity.

Vaser liposuction reduces the adipose tissue under the skin and provides some tightening of the skin.

Liposuction will not be enough to recover this skin if there is too much skin that has lost its elasticity, it can collect very loose skin with leg procedure.

What are the risks associated with leg lift surgery?

Each of the surgeries has risk factors. However, it is known that leg lift operations are not considered among high-risk operations.

The most common problem is delay in wound healing or wound opening problems. Reducing smoking, regular use of corsets and restriction of movement greatly reduce these risks.

Lymph edema: It is the name given to the formation of swelling in the leg due to the accumulation of fluid in the inner part of the leg. Lymph edema is regressed by the long use of pressurized varicose vein socks.

Infection and bleeding are rare in thigh stretching, but can occur. Not every person is a suitable candidate for this procedure, and your risks may differ from those of other patients. .

Is leg lift surgery painful?

Just before waking up during surgery, we administer medication containing local anesthesia to this area and it minimizes your pain for 10 hours.

After discharge from the hospital, you will get through this process very easily with standard painkillers.

Using a corset after surgery will reduce the formation of edema and ensure that your wound healing is fast.

Is it permanent as a result of leg lift surgery?

This operation is permanent unless you have huge weight changes in your body. It is appropriate to do it after the completion of the weight loss process in harvests considering leg lift after tube gastric surgery.

What is the difference between thigh lift and Leg Lift?

They are both the same surgical surgeries and there is no difference between them.

What is mini leg lift?

The excess skin is stretched upwards towards the groin in accordance with the technique performed by tilting the mini leg lift surgery to the groin area.

In this procedure, the scar is not known because it sits in the groin area. The healing process is much shorter than long leg lift surgery.
